Abstract

The contemporary workplace faces significant disruption due to rapid technological advances and new employee expectations, especially from Generation Z. Unlike previous generations, Gen Z workers emphasise independence, flexibility, and work-life balance. To meet these changing objectives, organisations use tactics such as reduced work hours, remote work, agile schedules, and other work arrangements. The goal of such practices is to attract and retain the most talented people of the digital generation as well as raise productivity levels. The current paper investigates the influence of work-from-home and agile working hour tactics on productivity and concentrates on Pakistani Gen Z workers. Such a comparative analysis makes it possible to conduct a comparison. The survey was carried out using a Likert-type questionnaire for receiving the data from young professionals that work in corporate organisations in Karachi. The data received were analysed using descriptive statistics for smoothness, slope, and correlation coefficients using SPSS. The research shows that agile working is very effective when it comes to attracting the attention of Gen Z workers and increasing their enthusiasm, satisfaction, and productivity.
